Common questions
Can Karsons order my repeat for me?
No, pharmacies aren’t allowed to. Please order from your GP, for example in the NHS App. We can email you a reminder when it’s due.
How long does a repeat prescription take?
Order at least a week before you run out. GPs usually take up to 2 working days to approve it, then it comes to us.
What does nominating Karsons mean?
Your GP sends your prescriptions straight to us, so there’s no paper slip to pick up. You can change it any time in the NHS App, at your GP or at any pharmacy.
Do I have to pay for my prescription?
You pay the NHS charge unless you’re exempt, for example if you’re 60 or over, under 16, or have an exemption or prepayment certificate. We’ll check when you collect.
Can I order for someone else?
Yes, with their permission, for example for a child or someone you care for.
What if a medicine is out of stock?
We’ll let you know when we expect it. If needed, our pharmacist can talk to your GP about an alternative.
